COMPUTER
The
first Computer of any kind was simple Calculators, Even these evolved from
mechanical devices to electronic digital devices.
From
1617 John Napier creates ‘’ Napier’s bones,’’ used for Calculating.
In
1945 John Von Neumann writes ‘’ first Draft of report on the EDVAC’’ in which
he out lined the architecture of the modern stored-program Computer.
Birth
of the personal Computer in 1973. And
the First electronic digital Computer birth in 1946 by Eckeert and Mauchley’s
ENIAC
The system case
The
system case is usually metal box that house various Components such as- Mother
Board
System board, Disk, CD/DVD, Power Supply
Unit (PSU)
System case Types
The
following are the basic types of System case designed in different sizes.
Desktop case: it is designed to sit horizontally on a surface so
that it is wider than it is long.
Tower case:
it is designed to sit vertically on a surface so that it is higher than it is
wide. Note that tower case come in three basic sizes called Full tower case
(usually for Pc Server). Midi tower cases (usually for high-end user PCs).
Part of the Case
a. Cover the case has a cover. This is removed by either
Undoing the screws at the back, or pressing together clips that release it.
Modern cases have a hinged Cover that releases to allow access to the
Mother-board.
b. Front Panel the front panel provides access to the
floppy and CD/ DVD drives a power ON/OFF switch, a reset switch, and led (Light
Emitting Diodes) to indicate Power and drive Operation/ Activities, USB port
and Earphone.
